I just bought the logitech driving force gt wheel for this so i can really get into it. Gonna get my mate who is a joiner to knock me up some sort of stand now.

Wheel will be with me tomorrow before 1pm.

Can't wait to feel force feedback etc \:D/

Mike if you know someone who can weld it's fairly straightforward to make something out of flat bar in mild steel.

See my pic on the previous page which Tom made up for me. It's a bit high and there are some finishing touches to do but he ought to have it done today. Providing he has I'll stick up some pics later.

I think you need something heavy and rigid because the force feedback will test anything that has flex in it.

ah ok, I'll have a chat with him over the weekend. Wanting something that looks ok (ish) too though and not "industrial"

I see you get proper stands so might look into that

Until then it'll be on a stool lol

played it about 20 hours straight and am a die hard gt fan but am not sold

cars feel wooden, yes its pretty but i want a driver sim not epic grapics.

played forza and gt back to back for an hour and forza is deffo more playable, and a little bit of me died inside when i found that :(

no it wasnt worth the wait but it is a very pretty game, driver level 8 am pretty bored of it things dont progress as nice as forza and car layout sucks.

sorry i dont want to check the car lot after every race to see if there is an mr2 turbo in there, i want to go in to toyota section under the cars and it either be locked or unlocked, and well as for getting cars you win what a joke, to simple just to put them in the garage????

6/10 from me on this

but am going back to play it again now thou

Does it not give you an extra 3bhp or something if you change it immediately after buying it? It did in previous GT's.

I got an extra car as the game recognised it was my birthday

It's good, but I fail to see where exactly the 5 years development went (on top of the 10 years for previous incarnations).

Yeah, thinking about it wasn't we supposed to get some stealth cars or something as a result of ordering from play?

This is the wheel i have, have had it for years and it was alot cheaper when everyone was waiting got GT5. The force feedback can be quite strong, karting for to long makes ur arms hurt.

Did you not get an email with your redeem code to get the cars?

I got a despatch email but nothing else, so I guess not.

I have really been enjoying the game though. Spent about 8 hours playing it last night.

Loved the rallying and I bought some 1969 Isuzu Bellet which I've tuned right up and done three of the beginner champs with. Great fun drifting the car. Then I took said car rallying.

Am liking the special events. Must admit though am finding the TG ones really hard. That intermediate one with the Elise's seems so hard as the car seems to constantly swop ends.

All good fun though. :+:

G25/27 :thumleft:

It does apparently. Would love a G27 but they aint cheap at around £230 IIRC.

You can get something equivalent to what I've got (Logitech Pro), there seems to be an updated version for <£100.

Then of course once you have a wheel you need a stand for it, so it does add up, though I would argue it makes it a whole other game with a decent steering wheel and mount. Ironing boards really don't cut it!
