Been on a week or so now and appreciate all the help and advice so far.

Car is getting there too, get it back on Wednesday with all new brakes.

First time I've had an MR2 or a Toyota for that matter but always buy Japanese.

Car looks like this at the mo...


Planning on keeping it pretty standard as I'd like to keep it original and retro, this means sorting some shoddy stuff previous owners have done.

yeah wasn't sure on the yellow at first but really growing on me. mine is in Lincoln at the mo having all the brakes done as it's been stood for 4 years... J.

thanks all, is tidy enough for now, needs a front light straightening up and front bumper painting and re-fitting from a minor bump (last owner). Insured for November before being garaged to finish off the work but am enjoying the experience for now, lot's of fun...

If only I had the cash haha, just had new brakes all round and a recon os front calliper, plus coolant was like sludge after 4 years of not moving, so concentrating on making it drive and handle well and then think i'll keep it looking as original as possible. Got some rev2 alloys ready after their refurb think i'm going to paint them black. Other than that I have no idea. Am new to all this and don't have a clue what I'm doing...

Rev2+ brakes the single best mod i have done

that wil not be for a while as all the brakes have just been done, do have my rev2 wheels on now though...

UK rear fog fitted and got light working, bulb and all wiring already there, just had to search behind the dash



Old ss KPH dials gone and new white loackwoods with red LED's fitted, now I can see my speed in the dark! just got to figure out how to change the heater to red LED's



wheels blasted and ready for paint when we get some sun...

thank you all, am finding this a very sociable and friendly place to hang out, also getting lot's of info to fix this thing up haha, just bagged a bomex style front bumper as the rev1 on this is in a sorry state, pictures make it look better. Few elec issues to sort and new tyres on the refurb wheels and good to go for summer!...

Can't go wrong with a Bomex front, but you'll find you need side skirts and rear spats or bumper to bring it all into line
