Had a disaster overhauling my CC pump!

Post by bluesmoke »

The bottom end of the pump casing wouldn't come free, so I had to try and bash it off from the inside.

Unfortunately that's destroyed one of the spring loaded electrical contacts that touches the rotating centre of the pump. Can I buy one of these from Toyota or am I now going to need to find a new or broken CC pump to take one from?

New pump... !

Or you could try an automotive electrician which may have something similar :thumleft:

It's specific. I may be able to knock up a makeshift replacement bit though, perhaps.

By your description, it sounds like you're refering to the brushes.

Might help you in a google search :)

Assuming that's a Toyota GT4 Pump... I'm pretty sure the Brushes are Replaceable and listed as a spare part from a main dealer...

I doubt they are anything special, and you could retrofit something from Black & Decker / Zanussi if Mr-T bends you over.

Thanks guys. Luke at Pacific Works has posted me out some brushes. I had absolutely no idea these were replaceable items!
