Thinking about it...to see some of the amazing machinery there it probably is worth it - just pricey compared to car shows but then they are more static...

Its one of the best "grass roots" events of the year, extreme machinery being thrashed to an inch of its life and you get to stand 5 ft away!.

Plus the pits are open all day so you can wander freely around sticking your nose into other peoples engine bays and generally chatting to everyone.

Its a wonderful atmosphere usuall, everyone is pretty chatty - just looks like the weather is going to be a PITA this year.

Why did I buy R888's!!

Just checked and it's dry but a litle cloudy. Cooler than of late which will help some good times.

It could change - that pic should change to reflect this though.

Fingers crossed!

What 1/4 mile times are people expecting? I'll compare them to *another* car club I'm a member of who have also got a team there!

I'll be dissapointed if i don't get lower than 12.2, but i'd really like to get into the 11's and that's my mission for the day.

Just had my engine mapped properly, at last!! It's running SO sweet, I'm gutted that I haven't brought the rest of the car up to scratch and run in this year's event!!

Oh well, there's always next year (been saying that for the last 2 years!).
