[Mk2] [Turbo] Toyota universal gear oil 80w90
Was after mt 90 but got 4 litres of this from Toyota to change the gearbox with. Pretty sure my rev 3 turbo is the LSD type so will this be alright? Read on searches guys used millers crx stuff so hoping this is more or less the same

The gearbox specialists I use recommend me a lighter weight .. 75w80 !
Works for me !
I find the weightier oil reduces tranny noise but bit harder to select when really cold - until the box warms up

Hi Craig,
Has your gear changes been effected/ improved since you changed the oil?
I need to change mine on my 93 turbo, but not sure which brand or how much i should use?
Rogue System seems to suggest that 'Redline MT90 Gearbox Oil' is the best http://www.roguemotorsport.com/Services ... vicing.htm has anyone used this?

It seems like it's done a good job. I got 4 1litre bottles from Toyota for about 20quid
The stuff in my box previous was well past it tho so anything would seem like an improvement! Gear changes are nice and smooth however
