MR2 Harness Pads

Post by IanClements »

Looking round for some harness pads as my manky old seatbelts tend to leave a mark on my shirts if I'm behind the wheel for a while. Can't see any MR2 specific ones though.

Something like this would do but with MR2 written on instead.

Maybe some pads, with only Toyota on it?

That would be good, or TRD ones. Have you seen any about?

Ooh "Seat belt warmers", one of my pet hates!

If you must have them, just stick with plain black and try not to draw attention to them.

I've got a spare belt if you want it. You can have it for free, just please don't get those chavy pads. Us mk1 owners have a reputation to uphold, if you want seatbelt pads get a mk2

I just went on ebay and put in "toyota seat belt pads"

Good luck,

Those look quite nice actually but -

- point taken, they'd have to come back off for JAE of course and I'm not ready for a mk2 yet, haven't had the vasectomy. :clown:

Thanks for the offer but I'd guess most belts are similar to mine by now and at least I know mine hasn't been in an accident or anything.

Having said that what's the recoil like on it as mine tends to need help these days?

From memory it was all in working order before I removed it. And it is clean.

I love mine, very useful for keeping shirt clean and padding on long runs. Just make it a bit more comfortable.

But agree, plain black or subtle Toyota branding.

Ok thanks, might be worth a go. Whereabouts are you?

Are you at JAE this year; can't see you on the list?

Not at JAE. I'm in Runcorn, Cheshire. Near m6/m56 junction. The belt won't be going anywhere so it's here if you want it. If anyone else is after any random parts and isn't in a rush I am currently breaking a mk1b.
