It's for a few reasons:

1, So I know how many people are turning and and I can let the manager of Mascrat know so more staff can be put on shift if required

2, We know who is in the JNW club. If any boy racers turn up, we can say look, heres our member list/reg no's, they werent part of our meet.

That way we keep our good name and the staff ban the idiots from the car park

7.30 ish is around kick off time, though it's looking like i'm not going to make it, the car passed the mot but still awaiting the service
