[Mk2] [NA] EGT sensor placement on a Mongoose

Post by LimeyMk1 »

I've just replaced the stock exhaust on Cassi's Mk2 (Rev 2 import N/A) with a Mongoose with de-cat pipe and was wondering what folks do with the exhaust gas temperature sensor that sits in the stock cat? There are no holes in the mongoose for it and I'm not too keen on drilling holes in the Mongoose.

Many thanks

can you not just disconnect and remove it ?
removing it on a tubby causes no ill affects.

It's not an EGT sensor, it's a cat temp sensor. It serves no purpose if you have removed the cat :thumleft:

Yeah- it's definately the cat temp sensor, I think it's there to warn if the cat gets too hot which would result from the core collapsing and starting to block the exhaust....I think anyway.
