On a more sensible note, there's an offer on at the premier inn at Dover at the moment doing rooms for £29. We're using to go to Le Mans.

I think that that may be a better option than all crashing at Scotts, personnally I wouldnt want to impose, seems a bit unfair really!

I can feel some overtime coming on to pay for all this #-o

Am confirming this with Mario but i think we need to register and pay for this in advance. 64 Euro.
Click on this link and it will tell you what we get for the money. Basically all food and drink for the whole weekend, and camping, showers etc.
Good value! :thumleft:

Righto, things have changed. Am back on for this.
The bike is going so I will have pennies to spend on going to Germany!

Am all up for any arrangements, whether or not its staying at Scott's or in Dover.

I don't mind sleeping in tent int he garden, after all, we are going to be sleeping in tents for two other nights, one more doesn't make a difference.
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Hey people,
as designated liason between the two forums, I've made the effort to translate the www.mr-zwo.de website for you in the hope, that it may make registering and understanding the costs easier :D If you have any further questions feel free to ask. Here goes:

TOYOTA MR2 MEET DUDERSTADT 2010

30.07 - 01.08.2010

An important notice upfront:

1) All participants who enter their names in the entry list must transfer the appropriate fee between the 6th and the 20th of july. The account number can be found below.

2) The entrance fee is the same as last year

3) All participants must wear an armband (kind of like all inclusive really  ) during the duration of their stay. This is the only viable method for us to see who is participating and who has paid.

A REQUEST!!
Please read the following carefully! It should cover any questions you may have.

The entrance fee (what you get for your money)

Friday:
All drinks in the evening and the use of the sanitary facilities including showers is included

Saturday:
Breakfast, the use of the sanitary facilities including showers, all drinks in the evening and a BBQ (including the much discussed salad  ) are included.

Sunday:
Breakfast and the use of the sanitary facilities including showers are included.

TOTAL COST:

Friday thru Sunday:
For anyone taking part over the whole weekend the cost is €64.00 per person.

For those staying in hotels who nevertheless wish to eat and drink with us the cost is €59.00 per person. For those staying in hotels who nevertheless wish to eat and drink with us without the breakfast option the cost is reduced to €49.00 per person.

Saturday thru Sunday:
Those only taking part on Saturday and Sunday pay €43.50 per person.

For those staying in hotels from Saturday to Sunday who nevertheless wish to eat and drink with us on Staurday and have breakfast on Sunday pay €39.50 per person. Without the breakfast option on Sunday the cost is reduced to €37.00 per person.

All those staying in hotels are obviously responsible for the payment of all fees incurred in the hotel :!:

REGISTRATION

Please fill out the following form: http://mr-zwo.de/anfrage.php .
All fields are mandatory!

PAYMENT:

Please transfer all fees (20.07.2010 at the latest!) to:

Mario Schröter
Acc No. 110 110 21
Bank No. 260 612 91
Volksbank Eichsfeld Northeim e G
BIC: GENODEF 1DUD
IBAN: DE86 2606 1291 0011 0110 20
Reason for transfer: **Enter your nick**

ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE:

As in previuos years, anyone wishing to show their vehicle in the pedestrian zone must pay a fee of €2.50 per vehicle. This covers all costs incurred with the local council and allows us to break some rules  . We hope you understand why this has to be.
All vehicles that have paid will receive a sticker.
PLEASE DO NOT TRANSFER THIS SUMM TOGETHER WITH THE ENTRANCE FEE! The money will be collected and you will receive your sticker on site.

NO ENTRY FEE PAYMENTS IN CASH ON THE DAY WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Go here: http://mr2-forum.de/index.php?page=Thre ... adID=54417 to see who else has signed up.

Wow that was quite a bit :D I hope it doesn't come across to beaurocratic!! I did ad lib a bit because us germans tend to write things as orders  but not so much as to take out the meaning.

Greets from Germany

I propose this.
As mentioned before, we can either B&B it on the Thursday night, or crash at mine. Johns idea of £29 is actually quit cheap! No need for me to B&B it though as i only live an hour or so from Dover.
The ferry crossing below will cost £65.
And for info, 64Euro is £53 at today's exchange rate. :thumleft:

The 0555hrs gets us there for 0825hrs.
Calais > Duderstadt is 427 miles. Average speed of 70mph we are looking at a 6-7 hour drive. This would give us an ETA of approx 1500-1530hrs.

Return leg if we aim for the 1655hrs crossing on the Monday, that gets us back to Dover at 1725hrs. We would have to leave Duderstadt no later than 0900hrs.

Of course there will be space on the ferry. There will probably be space on the day as well but you always pay top whack.
