Mr2

My MR2 is up for sale.

This time it is going due to work load I will not be able to race this year or the next..... It breaks my heart to sell this car but it needs to go to a good home.

The car has competed in the last two years of the HKS drag series and last year the car was right. With a runner up in Rotorstock and a win at Jap show finale and an over all runner up.
The car has not changed since last year and is ready to run 9’s out of the box. It can also be upgraded to run NOS and more power.

Car is running at 650bhp @the fly on ‘TDI’s dyno!’ this is a good clean and real reading.

Offers invited over £10k

Here are a few videos of the car running

I think you have a very limited audience, that's your problem.

*Most* people enjoy building their own cars up to get to fast 1/4 mile times rather just buy a finished article.

Anyone not in to 1/4 mile drag racing might be put off by the insane power and levels of modification.

You obviously know way way way more than me about 1/4 mile racing, are there any general forums for that rather than for MR2's? You might find that opens this car up to a more receptive audience :-k

You might have to do as I did Roy. Remove some choice parts and replace with cheaper items. Sell the nice parts and then sell the car for a lesser amount.

It's a real shame, it's a cracking build.

Save it for TOTB, run it in the team, and put some 'For Sale' stickers in the window....

IMO, youd be better off selling the engine/ancillaries seperate and putting a standard tubby lump in there. You might get near what your asking then :)

Paul.

I actually have the money for 'something' like this and I'm in the market for a new 2 but that amount of power is simply mental and strictly for the quarter mile. It is an extremely niche market you're aiming at... agree with others about stripping it to a certain degree.
