rather than do a GAZ from passion ford maybe we shoulf fill in a V888 form and find out who the registered keeper is and write to them saying the club wants to save their car...
in a previous job we did this all the time for £2.50 a pop. http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg ... 065303.pdf
you just need reasonable cause. take your chances and tell the truth or lie and say they crashed into you in a car park and drove away.....or anything like that.
reasonable cause definitions are here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ow ... /DG_180097
i think everybody should just leave it alone, pretty obvious people are wanting to get their hands on it, contacting the current/previous owner would be ok i suppose, fact is though, if this was my car and i was banged up or something i'd be pretty pi$$ed off if people were "making enquiries" about my belongings.
i dont want it for myself, i have one car, thats enough for me! i only want to get it back to the person who owns it, its a shame for a car, any car to be sat there doing nothing for so long.
If anybody wants to do any thing then take a couple of litres of water and a rag or to and a foot pump and make it look like its not abandonded, so it doesnt get vandelised and leave a note on IMOC headed paper
It has been there for over 6 months now without any issues. It's a safe car park and there is a camera pointing right at the entranceway. Certainly had no qualms parking my P&J next to it overnight for weeks on end.
I cannot understand how the parking authority has just left it. Would have thought they would have made enquiries about its owner. So far it will have cost them £100's in lost revenue. Maybe it's the Scottish law stating no car can be towed or clamped
Approach Aberdeen City Council and ask if you can buy it from them. It's all revenue at the end of the day and at least they'll get something towards the fines incurred.
Go on, be a hero, save a 2!
Well, i have heard on good authority that the car was picked up by its owner on Saturday, 3 days before the crushing deadline.
I have been contacted by a local Aberdeen newspaper journalist looking to do a small piece on the story....so if the owner is out there...now is the time to make yourself known and claim your 5 minutes of fame....!
I am willing to offer a years free membership to IMOC-UK for your story.
IMOC - winners of JAE best overall club stand 2010, 2013, 2014 & 2017! 1994 GT-S T-Bar 397bhp with NOS *sold* 2016 Porsche Cayman 981GTS 347bhp Flat Six
Well thats good news. An MR2 saved from the crusher! Must admit, I do really want to know exactly why it was left like that there for so long. Wonder if he did forget and the newspaper report prompted his memory? Funny!

That's small fry compared to this woman in Aberdeen........ http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Articl ... 0?UserKey= £18K!!!! She owes. Seems Aberdeen council are owed over £2 million from unpaid parking fines.
I'm not one to want clamping/towing in Scotland but in this womens case it would seem like perfectly reasonable action and stopped it getting to mental amounts.
