Have you checked your brake fluid level? Might be a bit low, and when you nail it it sloshes the fluid back, so dropping it below the warning sensor...

Not sure if its the same on MR2's, but in other cars I've had the fluid warning light is the same as the handbrake light...if the fluid was low and you went hard round a corner the light would come on.

Worth checking anyhow

Have you checked the brake fluid level? could be that it is a bit low and getting pushed around by the mighty G forces.

Brake fluid needs to be way higher than the MAX marker in my car for this problem to go away :)

No, it's not normal... just top the brake fluid right up to the very top of the reservior

mines no higher than max and i have never had this problem, but im on super stiff suspension so maybe thats why (your back end must drop and front lift causing the drop)?

Is the handbrake leaver too slack? The warning switch may be kicking in as you accelerate?
