Damnit I would have hoped they had a bigger range that, nothing in 17/40 sizes. :?

Edit: looks like toyo uk have actually put them up on their site so maybe there are some more sizes available.

These are getting very good reviews from the Elise guys on SELOC, even better than the Advan Neovas apparently

I've e-mailed them to find out if there are plans to introduce 215, 225 and 235 in a 40/17 profile.

Now thats interesting, I had Advan Neova AD07's on the rear of my tubby last year and they were awesome. The AD08 is coming out soon in much wider range of sizes according to Yokohama UK, so it will be interesting to see the price point in comparison to the R1R.

Just had a mail back from Toyo. 235/40/17 is available or will be available shortly, no plans for 215 or 225 40/17.

I wonder can you get away with 215/45/17 on the front?

Bit off topic, but I spoke to Yokohama yesterday about the AD08 release date, they said it is imminent, they have all the marketing blurb waiting to be sent out, they are just waiting for the go ahead from HQ.

The guy I spoke to there estimated they'd be available beginning of April in the full range of sizes.

The R1R is a little more expensive than I was hoping sadly... £176 a tyre for rears for my car! To do all 4 corners I'm looking at £550 :( Think I'll stick to Falkens lol

Pricey buggers aren't they. Looks like it'd work out to be around 850 for a set for my rims.

The Advans won't be much cheaper I shouldn't think, when I asked yokohama about 245/40/17 they thought they'd be about 200-210 each.

This is interesting, now if only Toyo would return my emails I might be able to give Toyo some decent exposure given I'm number 1 on google for "Toyo R1R" but with very little information!

Give em a call. I found Yokohama didn't reply to mails, but they were very helpful on the phone! :thumleft:
