You'd think that'be easy, but with keyboard mechanics and internet bravemen, that's never really going to happen.

I've got WS Wide arches on mine. Look stunning.

Well it is a forum so people are entitled to their opinions... in fact that's rather the point of it. I posted because I think it's not the done thing to criticise a product you've no experience of. If you're opinion is that that is being bitchy you're obviously free to express that also... as you have.
I'm on the site often and believe that very few posts turn into as you say a 'b1tch fest'. If they do though then they do... just like any other discussion anywhere else. The only thing in this life that you can truly control is your own reaction to things, if you try to control others you're in for a very uphill struggle.

I think it's a shame that people make sweeping generalisations based on 1% of the content here.

Please don't flatter yourself, you are welcome to express opinions but don't be precious when others do the same :)

Ive had a set of pw's arches, and they are fine quality,
if you want arches with the minimum of faffing around then these are for you,
if on the other hand money is tight and you're willing to take a chance fair enough, you pays your money and takes your choice.

The set i had i reluctantly sold on as finances changed,i sold them on here and there were no shortage of takers, proof of their popularity.

I still needed arches,so i picked up a set of nissan ones which, allthough not as direct a fit as pauls are,
they do fit,
but are a lot more involved.
I also tried a set of steel arches i cut from the front wings of a nissan bluebird, these also fit the mr2 wing profile.

Buy arches non specific and expect more work, which is fine if your ok with bodywork.

At a bodyshop near me in paignton there are two mr2's currently being finished, one is a 355 replica, not my cup of tea,but it does look good, the other is a rev 2 turbo which the bodyshop has extended the arches on,
it looks fantastic, even though they sourced them themselves,
mind you 400 quid a side is too pricey.

Lastly,it is true to say that some postees are flamed,im not sure what the percentage is as i can think of better things to do than read every post going back over a period of time and working it out, but, ive seen enough to know it happens.
Baiting the person you disagree with instead of moderating does not help.

Thankyou for your positive feedback planted :thumleft:

Don don't you find it odd that everyone that has actually bought or used these has replied positively yet you are the only one who has never even handled them and you started this flaming thread?

Mods can we lock this now ?, it's going nowhere and i think we have discovered the difference between an ar$e and an elbow. :thumleft:

I'd rather it was left open so the OP can show us how his arches turned out.

I kinda got the impression that the OP would be able to knock these into shape in a few days so we shouldn't have to wait long, right?

Hi gav...

That is the unique point of my universal arches, YOU decide what width you want them, so they match your wheel/tyre/spacer package exactly how you want it to look. I have used them in every width from 1" to 5" by just trimming down the inside edge. That is the big plus point with these arches that don just doesn't get.

I agree Si, let's leave the thread open, i am itching to see Dons handywork that will only take a few days to achieve :thumleft:

 that sounds ideal for me so they come to me as a 5"width and i can just trim them down to suit, do you supply all the bolts etc with the kit?

They will come as universal blanks that have a uniform inside edge that is not specific to any vehicle, so you trim the inside to fit the width and contour of your panel at whatever height you want as well. There are too many variables for me to supply them pre-cut.

They are usually bonded to the bodywork and blended in as a means of attachment, i wrote a full "how to" guide here...

When i get time i will be making a set of rivet on versions at a fixed width that look something like Nathans version of our arch.

So where are these escort arches ive seen the pw arches and seen these cheap replica arches woodsport quality is good and ripple free and twice as thick as these other ones its like the difference in genuine and none genuine panels half the price but three times the work fitting them I to work in a body shop and have done for 30 odd years and seen young pups with the mouth come and go and get locked in wheelie bins etc. If he was any good he would have done it by now if he was so good he wouldnt have to get a auto electrical shop to sort his wiring out he would have a go himself or the met fitter where he works would have done it obviously has no friends in the trade. On PW's side he ha sto make a living he doesnt lay the fg up himself so its small runs on the arches therefore putting the price up a bit he has also got the r+d to get back on the arches perhaps thats why hes reduced the prices a bit as the r+d is nearly paid for I know it took ages for him to get them just right i've got a pair of his bumpers for my mk1 and they fit really well unlike dearer ones on the market that dont fit and end up in the bin.Numpty in Scotland shouldnt comment till hes seen both articals and seen the quality.
Any way have you finished putting these arches on or have they ended up in the bin and your saving up for a set of PW arches

I taped toilet roll to the arches of my car, much cheaper than the PW items.
