[Mk2] [Turbo] Bride rails, recaro seats

Post by craig »

I've had a quick search on this and found that recaro seats fit bride rails. Is this all base mounted recaros which fit bride base mount rails or do they just fit certain seats from the recaro range?

Cheers :thumleft:

I just know, that Bride RO-Type fit the Recaro Speed.
And I use Bride FO-Type for my Recaro Profi SPG, but it also fits Recaro Profi SPA and Recaro Apex.

What seat do you want to use?

Looking at a Recaro Speed from an EVO 8, just wondered if it will fit on a Bride rail for a MK2.

Bride and Recaro are essentially the same company :thumleft:

Is nightspirit still hanging round these days? A few of us got rails for speeds from him from Japan but that was a while back now.

If the RO-Type rails definitely fit to Recaro Speeds thats awesome, because i've been wanting to replace my drivers seat with something a bit more supportive.

Here you can see the dimensions of the Bride RO-Type http://www.nengun.com/bride/rails-ro-type

And I scaled (I hope this is the right word) the fitting points under my Recaro Speed, and it fits exactly the Bride RO-Type!

The ones I'm after are type s. So will these fit a recaro speed from an Evo 8?

According to supraforums the RO rails match the recaro speed pattern, also looks like lockys posted in that thread so maybe he knows?

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135409

Also if you are signed up for the us oc this thread seems to point towards this. Also has some info on the evo8 seats.

http://mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=81367 ... ils+recaro

They possibly wont recline in the same way the normal mr2 seats do because its a 4 door car or something iono.

I've let the Type S rails go, I'll hold out for RO rails as the Evo 8 Speeds are what I'm after.

Arent the evo seats different from the recaro speeds though?

Recaro speeds look like this

But the evo 8 seats look like a different design.

I have just bought some recaro sport ( fitted as standard to the accord type R). See pics below. Think they are same as evo ones.

I am going to use the recaro rails from my mr2 recaro's (fishnet head rest style).

Having removed the passenger seat rails today i had a quick measure on hole spacing and they perfectly match the Bride RO-Type rails as can be seen on the nengun site link.

So i'm hoping once seats arrive its a simple case of bolting on my old recaro seat rails to the new recaro seats.

Will update once seats have arrived and i have them fitted.

No the MR2 recaro rails unbolt by 6 bolts where the conventional mk2 rails are part of the seat.

I have fitted recaros from an evo on the these runners

JDM Recaros are 6 bolt fitting where recaros out of a Ford are 4 bolt.
I do have this set of rev4 option recaros for sale without subframes well you can have evo subframes if you want

just to add MR2 recaro rails aren't the same fitment as recaro speed rails as far as I could find out anyway (went through that on here a while ago).

...also, not convinced that the different OEM fit recliners which look like speeeds from the top will fit recaro rails as seen a few differences so far.
