lol i hardly said anything

You called a product i produce "a rip off".

not having a go at any1

Are you for real? Why couldn't you just say "the Woodsport arches are out of my price range, i think i will do it a cheaper way myself" ? You said people must have more money than sense buying my product...... seriously?

there must be somthing in the water down south

I'm in the north, just so you know.

only a bad workman blames his tools

Still not having a go at anyone are we?

40-60 hours?? at least 5 8hour shifts ? we dont f**k about up here buddy but the pics will be up when its done and ill get my timesheet and recipts on for ya lol

Clearly we do the job properly, anything less than a full working week doing them properly is a lash up. I bet you do full resprays for £500 too.

pw@woodsport 150quid per panel ?? on 15-20year old cars

I think you are on the wrong car forum, mr2 enthusiasts don't care how old the car is, we are passionate about the car and want the job doing properly with quality products.

Starting a thread just to flame the price of my wheel arches tells me all i need to know about you ,good luck with your 2hr Escort arch fitment on your mr2, i'm sure it will look lovely.

1st , i meant scotland and england , north and south matey

2nd 250 for your arches , is there more work goes in to making them than for the escort ?? doubt it

3rd the workman bit , is some1 is a "PRO" they can work with anything

4th doin the job properly doesnt mean taking all week , if i take 2 wekks will mine be twice as good ??

5th 150qid per panel was actually a question , do u just paint the door ??

6th 250 for the arches in my OPINION is a rip off compared to all other arches for other cars

if you look in my garage my 1st mr2 should be there , it was a cat c write off , side impact , took us 5 maybe 6 days if you count a few hours on sat to fit the lights and the corsa in the back round was done from a front end smash the week b4 , with custom saxo arches

i think the new skool is diffrent to old skool matey

You are entitled to an opinion - but you're also quite hostile and not winning many friends.

New "skool" keyboard hero from the sounds of it. Good luck with the Ford stuff.

1st I'm not your "matey"

2nd £250 for my arches lets you determine the width you actually want them to match your wheel package, something you are failing to get your head around, Escort/Fiesta/Reliant Robin arches will not let you do that. Why don't you take a few months out (or days in your superhero case) and produce a mould the same as mine that takes all of the hard work out of the job and charge people less than i am, i'd welcome that openly, and it would only be good for Mr2 owners, and possibly the Ford owners club too no doubt :thumleft:

3rd "is some1 is a "PRO" they can work with anything " I'm sorry i don't speak chav, but i think you are saying you are a pro and can do magical things with Escort panels on Mr2's? Good for you, difference is i would never call someone else's product a "rip off" unless i had bought that product ,been overcharged for a poor quality item and had been refused a refund.

4th Generally the longer you take to do a job properly the better it turns out and the longer the finished article will last, sounds to me like your garage gets them "in and out" as quickly as possible, nice. :thumleft:

5th £150 per panel? No i just drive the cars through a sheep dip full of paint.... time is money you know!

6th In my opinion you are an idiot with a poor grasp of the English language and no respect for anyone, in my opinion, seeing as opinions are allowed and that is very much mine.

Have a nice day.

because of my opinion i aint winning any friends?? all im trying to do is explain what i mean ,and how it is up here buddy .

tbh im not bothered what folks think , i mibe havnt said it in the right way but would u pay 3 times the price for the same thing ??

im sure the guy does a great job but the price aint for me , and for the new skool comment , its simple , even working beside my dad he thinks hes always right just and thinks he knows more than me cause hes older ,might have more experience but that dont always mean hes doing somthing the way it should be done . just cause im younger dont mean i dont know what im talking about

Damn right you haven't... and nobody is asking you to pay anything, all you had to say was they are too expensive in your opinion and you think you have found a cheaper way to do it, not "these arches are a rip off", "you must have more money than sense buying these" etc

Run along.

fair points buddfy , my garage dont get them in and out lol its mine and my sisters cars , my birthday is november and hers december and we both wanted cars , i was proving that alot more can be done in a weeks work.

for the job to be good it isnt how long it takes its all in the prep work

my lingo is fine its just the way i type :) for time sake

why would you want them to fit your wheel package?? how many people stick to 1 set of wheels ?

as for your sheep dip comment , was pretty good , im guessing if its a door you would take in to account paint fade on the other panels i.e wing and rear quarter and haze them in aswell to stop the newly painted door standing out like a sore thumb ??

"time is money" and your web site you re-opened the body shop , did you realise the money you could make ??

i do cars because i enjoy it and not for profit or any other reason and any job we do only leaves if we would happily have it as one of our own cars

Now don't get me wrong here, I like a debate and I like free speech, someone thinks one thing, someone thinks something else... lovely if both have the ability to discuss the matter in a manner that fits in with the rules of the forum.

But something is bothering me...

No text speak or foreign language posts: English is the forum language. Those that don’t use English as their first language should use an online translator (eg babelfish) to make and read posts.

You know who you are, cease please.

Finally I'd prefer it if this wasn't turned into a willy-waving competition.

Mr Young you don't want to pay the asking price of an item, great stuff, just buy something else and tell us all about it when you've fitted the bits. At that point you'll be in a stronger position to debate the topic and hopefully have taken the chance to replace your broken keyboard.

I really enjoy fine dining but it's not cheap, as a result I sometimes make my own meals at home... that doesn't mean I'm a great chef, it just means I can fill the same hole with similar things for less money. Think on.

Play nicely please, I want to relax and have a nice evening.

I think my post was quite clear, please make an attempt to use complete words rather than text speak, it's nicer for everyone that way.

Spelling a completely different matter but with a little bit of care and the help of browser plugins etc that's an easy one to solve too. Nothing pathetic about trying a little bit harder, it's just polite.
