I really, really want to do this.

Just the spare funds have not been around. Am starting a new job (with a huge payrise) next week. So if anyone is dropping out, please contact me [-o<

Lauren is the a "reserve bench"?

Just wanted to let people know that I have swapped with Podge1, so am not needing a place any more.

Things are looking doubtful for me too, the cars started smoking on downshifts at high revs, which kind of indicates the piston rings are going. I'll see how things go over the next few weeks.

Chris,

If you can't make it as a driver you can get a lift with me - I'm planning on driving there and back in a day though - I must be mad.. #-o

Cheers Dom, I should be able to sort it by the beginning of September as soon as the body works done I'll pull the head off and have a look at the damage. It may (alternatively) be a burnt valve which'll be a lot easier to sort out.

Nutter driving there and back in a day!

Really hoping to get the paintwork done on the mk1.5 done quickly now - paint this week perhaps???

Don't think I'll have the unichip fitted and mapped by then, but the car should be run in.

Got a set of wheels being made by Compomotive, but they'll not be ready until the 3rd week of august!! will probably use my old crappy 15"s anyway.[/i]

Right i'm getting lots of requests for cancellations on the trackday.

If you are currently booked and your car has gone Pete Tong or you can no longer make it for whatever reason post up here or on the subject in the general section:

There are a lot of people it seems who would like to take your place.

Yep its on the way into York from Elvington about 4 miles away. Basically back to roundabout then take York exit (after the A64). keep going till you come to it.

There is a BP just down the road and a Shell garage a couple of miles further into York.

Just a word for anyone giving up their place. I've just been on the phone to Jonny at bookatrack and he doesn't want to transfere places i.e. I say give me £90 and you go in my place.

Way it works is bookatrack will refund your money minus a £10 admin fee and the person replacing you has to pay them directly. Bit of a bummer as rather than saving your fellow members a £10 say they have to pay full and you also loose a £10 :(

Yep i posted this up in the thread in general after an IM with Sarah. Said basically it was a PITA because of having to deal with both parties ie sending emails back and forth. Also mentioned was a faff for accounts etc.. They are normally happy to do the odd one, but now there is a lot of swopping going on, they say you are better cancelling or going for BaT Credit.
