Hi there Astir,
I replied there aswell, after reading this topic.
I'm using my girlfriends account over there, Wiki_Maaike.
Could you answer me the questions I asked there?

Hi RenOW,
Leuchtmittel means bulb, so you got all you need expect the bulb. But you can still use your old bulbs.
It takes 4-5months from now on.
He writes you a PN when your kit is ready to ship and then you have to pay. When he received the money, he sends it to you.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply's.
I will look out for the message in the Summer!
They look very good, do you have any other lamp options? The lamps you have used seem to have a side light and main beam? So you can have the lights on dipped (low setting) then switch to full beam?
Sorry I cannot speak any german except 1 - 10
Thanks
James

Much neater and they make the stock ones look ridiculously big.
shorter link on the motor, and shorter lifting rod ,easy peasy ,its just the angle of the light thats wrong now ,because it hasnt risen far enough to be level ,if that makes sense? needs to tilt back in the housing
same principle as this mod on the MK1 that another member did
The L shaped cam link on the GTO lights motor is shorter
this on its own didnt raise the lights as far as the original stop on the MR2 lights
then i used the GTO lifting arm and cut it in half ,then popriveted it back together at the shorter height needed
then i cut a section out of the original housing and melted it back together
The GTO light housing is just popriveted into the MR2 housing
Its a big bodge job at present ,i just wanted to see if it was possible to do
i might get time to do some more work on them again this year

The side lights are originally parking lights, but I didn't use them. I am only using the main light with H4 bulbs.

Hi Astir
I am just registering on mr2-forum.de
Can I ask a few silly questions ?
Does the 170 + shipping include the GTO lights ? If so, will I need GTO lights from a UK/Ireland GTO because we drive on the left side of the road ?
If I need to source these lamps myself, anyone in the UK recommend any breakers ? Its hard to find them over here in Ireland
TIA
Rob

That's my first 1.5, i made those lights from motorbike lamps.

I don't think Astir and Kaai use GTO lights.
The ones used should be smaller, I suppose.

On the German forum, he said he would try see if he can find a RHD solution
If I knew from what car he gets his lights, I could try source lights from the corresponding RHD version of the car.
I might ask on the German foum

Some nice lights there - but they are all the stock size bigger lamps. We're after the smaller "4 x 6" lamps.
Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 4"x6" headlights - do they exist ???
These are 4x6, same as the GTO lights
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/93-97-Ford-Probe- ... 1c10868367
but you need to modify the housing somehow to fit them ,ive got a ford probe headlight ,and a GTO headlight that im playing around with ,to find the easiest solution

If I was buying the GTO headlights, do you reckon there is any need to buy the GTO housing as well ? or just the headlight ?

You need this section from the GTO lights, the sqare bit that the headlight fits into ,so i would think yes the whole housing ,Minus the motor
these should do as a starter
