It will get done right that is for sure.
Going to pick the cutters up from the post office in the morning and will get to work this week but lots of work to do getting the valve height right. Got to work away up your way from Sunday for 4 days but will get back on your head when I get back if not all complete this week.

You'll be please to know I'm nearly the same age as your good self, and I can remember reading that very article back in the day! I raced Mini's at the time.
My goodness... we're in the presence of a living legend!

Sorry I have only just seen your post.
In 1968 I was working for MPG&H engineering making fish carbs. The boss was a chap call Bob Henderson and we had a mini race car racing against imps and fords, I think it was the works car as we had Downton 999cc engines we would fit twin fish carbs to. The driver was Dave Morgan.

In August 1982 I was about 20yrs old and was just about to move onto a Gp 1 MK2 Escort RS2000 with Ford dealership backing for rallying.
Triple C was my favorite mag at the time as the articles were very factual and didnt bull$h1t the issue or need a naked bird on every page to improve sales.
Like the article Bob, but I cannot read the text very well.
