Graphically it's as close to real looking as I've ever seen in a game.
I had to show huge control yesterday. Mum picked the game up for me first thing in the morning but I still worked all day, went to the gym after work, got home and made sure I completed Batman before I started playing. Finally kicked off MW2 about 10.30pm on campaign mode. Gave it about 1.5 hours but finally gave in to the tiredness. Annoyingly got gym and then football from 8-9pm tonight so it'll be another late one.

Does anyone else think General Shepherd sounds a lot like Optimus Prime?

I only played the first 3 levels then kicked the single player game and went online multiplayer instead.

"its more of a who than a what"

I'm trying to find out who the voice is for Shepherd on campaign. As I said before it sounds astonishingly like Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) but it appears to be Aaron from 24. He also said the line in Transformers "step down or we will kill you" before the chopper transformed and wiped out the military base

It's Lance Henrikson. i.e. Bishop from Aliens!

The cast on IMDB is pretty incomplete but someone asked the question there and it was confirmed by numerous people who say they saw it in the credits.

Could watch the ending on YouTube and see if they show the credits to confirm...?

I can't find a copy anywhere!!!! (well cheap)

sainsburys and tesco don't stock it on pc, the steam download won't activate till teh 12th, and its £35 in game.

That and when I do get a copy, I only have my laptop as my pc is miles away. grrr.

The PC version is getting well slated.

Lowlights from the BestBuy Dev chat with IW regarding MW2:

* Dedicated server questions were greeted by being escorted out of the chat.
* Max players for all versions is 9v9. Yes, I said 9v9.
* No record feature in MW2 for PC.
* No lean in the PC version (Mackey-IW: The game is not balanced for lean.)
* PC Game is not yet finished*

My fave Q&A:

Laugh
Is there a console in the PC version of the game, so we can change our field of view from the xbox's default 65 FOV to 80 also can we tweaks the weapon damage for each gun, removes perks, graphical debris, breathing sway, also thru console like we where able to before or is this all gone?
Vince-IW
We would like you to play the game the way we designed and balanced it.

Omg, I don't really game on consoles prefer my PC :(

i would have, but my 360 is constantly over heating and theres no way im wasting more money on another 1 :thumleft:
also personally i find it a hell of alot easier then cod 4, im constantly going 30+ kills for less then 10 deaths on TDM. think my best is 44/4 it just seems easy to kill people

Played this most of today and last night. Anybody considering prestige mode as the bar has been raised to rank 70?

and chuffin' hell how many challenges on the weapons to complete?

I'm currently on Marksman 7 on the M4 getting up towards 750 Kills, and I guess Marksman 8 will be 1000 kills to complete.

The maps/game/weapons/challenges etc etc is MASSIVE compared to CoD 4

Cracking game, well done Infinity Ward!

I also note that a CoD 2 map has been slotted into the game. That massive open area map will trenches, fields, farm and tanks with a mine field perimeter.
This must be a trend thing as the "Carantan" map from CoD 2 was in CoD 4 under the name "Chinatown" :)

Well

I'm going to order it for the pc..... Now.

It's a damn shame that they've basically not bothered to improve the pc version over the others but I'd put that down to monkey and possibly someone, somewhere, not caring.

It's a damn shame if people do use a pirated version and although I do buy all my games (Usually at a reduced cost after a few months of it being out) I did think of getting this as a copy. Why? If they stick two fingers up at the pc community, the pc community should stick them back.

Oh well. As long as they NEVER force auto-aim on pc fps.

Rant Rant :thumleft:
