just been through some footage, and managed a couple of uninterupted laps in one of my sessions on the international circuit, dont know how this compares to other cars but got a 1:57 then a 1:52
although if thats rubbish, in my defense, it was my first time on a proper track and first time on the r888's

Really? We beat plenty of more powerful cars when ours was standard.

i'm sure you did dear, but not this one

LOL!

I very nearly lapped you in the afternoon dude in a space of 6 laps. If you hadn't pulled into the paddock, I probably would have passed you before Banking or shortly thereafter

Then again... I driving an MR2...  8)

Seriously though, at the end of the day though, trackdays aren't about who's quicker than who driving which car, it's about enjoying your time on track and trying to improve on your previous outing or just learning something new :thumleft:

People with big bravado and/or a false sense of confidence in their abilities (or the cars ability) tend to end the day early or in tears or both - ref black 944 (Sat) & Red Supra (Sun) :(

So very inconsistent then :thumleft:

The R300 with only 175bhp I was driving would be about 20 - 30 seconds a lap quicker than you then (depending on the driver of course).

Just to add that the times I am basing my quotes on is from memory when we raced the R300 on the GP circuit a couple of months ago. Racing is a far cry from trackdays so times will be marginally quicker.

EDIT (again) or even the 120hp road legal version will do the GP cicruit in 10 - 20 seconds quicker than you

I'm not sure what a MK1 SC race car or MKII N/A race car would get on the GP circuit, but I suspect late 40's early 50's (in a race / quali environment).

Basically, it doesn't matter what you drive, there will always be someone quicker than you :thumleft:

you would kind of expect that given the power to weight difference and the superior handling

The MR2's have not raced the full GP Circuit based on the times on the 750 Motor Club website.

Yeah, felt a bit harsh.

It wont be me shooting you down, but I think you'll be surprised by the diversity of cars and drivers, and the times some of them get.

Well we've fixed the car anyway by borrowing the driveshaft off mine :( Shoved my new car in for an MOT this afternoon, maybe something good will come of the whole thing :D

Bought mine on the day, about 150 of them, but none of them from behind or with the sea in the background.
