[Mk2] [NA] small end bearing change?

the engine has a rattle once reved ive been told its possable the small end baring
how hard is it to change and will it have caused damage to the rest of the engine?

little end bearing is found within the connecting rod...

indeed they do wear and are often overlooked as part of a (forged) engine rebuild when re-using stock rods, but i would be very surprised if this was at fault in your case.

if it wouls stop raining id get a vid but damn weather if i knew what was up with it id have a go at fixing it but im not 100% on the problem

Its likely the butterfly mechanism in the inlet manifold, that operates the T-VIS.

Take the top section of the inlet manifold off its only four bolts I think and you`ll see what I mean. :thumleft:

would that make a loud tapping noise once reved?
