Right I thought it is about time I posted the accommodation details.

Those of you who have booked and paid for accommodation - We are staying at Cefn Cwmwd Cottages near Llangefni:

• There is a designated BBQ area (but I doubt we'll use it)
• Bed linen is provided - so no need to bring your own :thumleft:
• Central Heating (probably will need it knowing the area...) :thumleft:
• Off road parking :thumleft:
• Sorry No Pets permitted :-:
• Television and DVD player - Scott will be bringing Rock Band :thumleft:
• This is a no smoking establishment :thumleft:
• Arrival from 4:30pm on the friday only please.

I am not entirely sure of bedroom layout yet. Although I do know that there are no "single" rooms - only doubles & twins as it is family cottages. Rooms will be allocated on basis of payment received to keep it fair :thumleft:

Address:
Cefn Cwmwd Cottages
Rhostrehwfa
Isle of Anglesey
LL77 7YL

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... m&t=h&z=16

Directions:
Take the A55 Dual carriageway onto Anglesey heading towards Hollyhead and exit at Junction 6.

At the second roundabout take the A5 signed Rhostrehwfa and after aprox 1 Mile turn left onto B4422 and Cefn Cwmwd Cottages are immediately on the left hand side.

The cottages are about 15 minutes from the circuit. It's probably best to head back to the A55 and head towards Hollyhead. Exit at Junction 5. Take the 1st exit off the roundabout onto the A4080 heading towards Rhosneigr/Aberffraw. Pass Rhosneigr turn-offs and continue towards Aberffraw. Before getting to Aberffraw, you'll see the circuit signposted right off the A4080. Follow the farm road for about 1 Mile into the circuit. Careful of the speed bumps along the farm road.

Looks good. Any idea how much parking there is as we'll be avec trailer?

Was Scott's Rockband on PS2? If so I've got GH1, 2 and 3 plus the Metallica edition I can bring along for added choice of tunes if required.

Click the link to the googlemap image and zoom in - there looks to be ample parking. However, I know all the cottages are booked and there will be a fair few of our cars there too.

You can always leave the trailer at the circuit. It's safe enough. We often leave the Caterhams out overnight. Some circuit staff also camp/caravan the weekends so there is staff there all the time. The main gate also gets locked at 9 or 10pm too - so make sure if you're leavign the trailer there, you're unhitched by then :thumleft:

Yeah had a quick look and there does seem to be plenty of spaces although I can't see anywhere to park without having to either unhitch or taking up several spaces.

Was already considering leaving the track car and trailer there overnight Saturday depending on security. Sounds like it'll be fine so I'll be doing that. Guessing it'll also be OK to head straight to the circuit whenever we arrive Friday and leave it there which will save taking it to the cottages at all?

That should be fine Phil. I'll check with the Circuit and get back to you.

We only have access to the cottages from 4:30pm on the Friday.

Doubt we'll be there too early anyway, it's a long way from here and nobody thought to build proper roads that go across the country

Because you're towing you're probably best to head to A11/A14/M1/M6/M56/A50/A55. Although avoid the M6 for as long as poss.

Actually thinking about it, the roads aren't too bad with a trailer if you go A11/A14/M1/A50/A500/A51/A55 and will probably take you less time thanks to lack of Friday motorway jams.

From ours we go M1/A50/A500/A51/A55 and can get to Anglesey in a time I can't post on public forums

Speaking of which, those not towing, watch your speed on the A55. The increase of unmarked cars and dodgy police tactics are diabolical :-:

Request for drum kit on Rockband please :thumleft:

If the sailor isn't coming (likely atm) then I could bring our rockband (PS3) instruments (2 x guitar, plus drum kit), although I don't know if I could fit it all in the pax seat

I reckon we'll be passing your way sometime around lunchtime on the Friday if you want to tag along.

Also although we're trailering it, our track car is fully road legal so in the unlikely event that anything untoward happens to your car on circuit we've got the ability to get you home should you need it :thumleft:
