Dash lighting problem

Post by as8133 »

My car previously had the speedhut dials in and now that they have been removed i have one wire not connected and no dash lighting. Alos, having looked at the loom there is no obvious place for the wire to go. Is it the ground? Please help.

Speedhut dials don't use any of the existing wiring so not sure where the spare has come from. Where does it run back to? Could have been an earth or live connected to the box that comes with speedhut dials. A picture might help.

Sounds obvious but are the original back lighting bulbs still there?Speedhut dials light themselves and people do remove the original lighting bulbs when fitting the dials as they are only required to see the odo reading and for lighting the needles.

Yeah, check the bulbs are present.

Unless the previous owner somehow figured which wire in the clocks loom is for the lighting #-o
