Re: gran turismo
Prologue was a slightly ambitious title considering the gap between it and GT5 release.
Can they develop any slower?
Will be good though, but prob be a new Playstation out before.
The quality of spelling in this thread is quite frankly an embarassment to IMOC on the web.

just seen the damage vid, forza has NOTHING over this
Re: gran turismo
Except it feels more like real driving. Well, F2 compared to GT5P does anyway.
GT games have always had the better graphics, and I didn't really expect this one to be any different. Beautiful looking game.

Re: gran turismo
Theres no doubt that GT5 will be an awesome game.
What bugs me is that any developer could have all the things Andy listed but theres no developers that have 5 years to develop a single game.
Given enough time you could have all the cars in the world.
The truth is a normal studio cant afford that kind of dev time.
Forza is more impressive in the sense that it has a lot of content and they dont take 5 years to make it.
Id love to see what they could do if they did though!

Re: gran turismo
I'm sure Microsoft have the money behind them if they really wanted too, As already said they make more money releasing EA style updates every year

Does Forza not come out of camp Microsoft? I thought it did??? Forza 1, Forza 2, Forza 3 = 3 years and 3 games, They too could have released nothing until this year and put out one huge game to rival GT5? No?

Re: gran turismo
Turn 10 make Forza. Didnt think they were an internal studio but might be wrong.
Each Forza has seen massive improvements though. Not just a roster update.
And again, they probably couldnt afford to do one game in 3 years. They dont really need too anyway.

Re: gran turismo
one of the comments on youtube is spot on. The damage on gt5 looks too scripted. An Evo plows into the back of the Subaru and has no damage at. all, but the subarus bumper is hanging on one side? ? ? The car looks very good, but has no relevance.
Re: gran turismo
The build shown at Cologne wasnt the final build, KY has confirmed in an interview that they are still yet to decide 100% on the damage model.
Also that list above should be taken with a pinch of salt, it did originate from the official japanese gran turismo website, but was taken down shortly after.

+ Nascar and WRC game modes will be included
+ 1080p, 60fps
+ Same day worldwide release this year

Re: gran turismo
March 31 2010 is the confirmed release date for this, as long as you live in Japan. I guess we can expect it about 2 months later, but Sony are due to confirm in the next week or so.
