Hey Bru,

Such a shame to have gone through all that and then be in the position you are with work :pale: But i'm glad you are enjoying the new engine and I know it's gone to a very good home. It certainly looks like you are treating it right.

Don't forget to fit the Chrome Greddy fuse box cover I gave you!!

Race ya!

Thanks guys. It truely sucks to get to a point where its nearly there and face losing it. Selling will be a last resort for sure.Stevo the fuse box cover and the greddy bits are all in mate, just not taken any pics yet, loosks awesome!

After seeing air intake temps of over 40, some as high as 50 degrees I was convinced that aircon rad (which I'd left in incase I wanted to re instate air) was choking the main and CC rad so I spent 5 hours yesterday removing the aircon rad (what a PITA!!!) ended up stripping the whole front of the car off to get it out

Upside? the MASSIVE hole left where the rad came out of with the removal of the plastic slam panel means my air intake temps have dropped by an average of 8 degrees :D Well worth the agro I think!

Ahh mate that is a seriously nice car you've put together there I really hope for your sake you dont have to bail on it :(

Loving it- I was never a fan of white before but this car makes me wonder, specially when it's hiding a build like that in it- very very impressive 8)

Well thought I'd update this thread with the last pics of her, as many of you are aware I had few expensive hiccups after the new engine was fitted, the last of which was something failing in the gearbox/clutch region on my way to work one afternoon.

Came to a roundabout and the car wouldn't move without over 2000rpm of revs and then the clutch would bang in savagely, this culminated in me having to coast off the road one mile later when I lost gear selection.

For whatever reason the clutch has fallen to bits, this is what's left:

Unfortunately I didn't have any more money to pour into this project so the painfull decision came to strip her  It's one of the most heart wrenching things I've ever had to do, I spent a lot of time tinkering with this car and it was very sad for me to see her like this:

Miss it already....

really feel for you mate, i know how you loved that car. Defo ended up in a sorry state. Out of interest, what clutch was that which had the epic failure?
