right ive got the above boost controller turning up tomorrow,

fitting seems to be ok, but ive got a few questions, about parts and setting it up.

Firstly wheres the best place to get 4mm and 6mm vaccum hose and T pieces from? any specialist shops or general shops?

Secondly, i was wondering what other people have set their gains and ratios to. To help out, ive got a rev 2, running a standard CT26, blitz nur spec exhaust, apexi filter, metal headgasket, 3" downpipe and at the moment ive got a MBC running at 14 psi. The car has done approx 70k miles.

Also, what boost can i safely go up to on a standard CT26?

max safe boost on a Rev 2 is 1 bar (14.5psi) a stock 26 wont make power past that just hot air. :thumleft:

For hoses and joiners i usually go to Walker rubber on Sproughton Industrial estate. iirc they do coloured hoses but check before you go.

otherwise it will be an internet job chap. :thumleft:

But anyone actually know what the gain and ratio should be set at?

Its trial and error most of the time chap,

gotta fine tune the settings to suit your car.

ok fitted the dsbc today, all the fitting went fine, mounted in the space where my clock used to be.

Done a bit of reading and most people said that a gain of 5 would be a good starting position and that a ratio of 60 would give roughly about 1 bar of boost.

so set it up to these and my car struggled to reach 10psi. played around with both the gain and the ratio for ages testing it and couldnt get any higher than 10. car feels really slow too and is very slow to spool up.

What could be the problem? have i done anything wrong? please help someone

ok il try and come at it from a different route. Is there anyone in the Ipswich/suffolk area that has knowledge of the Spec R DSBC that would care to spend some time setting it up for me. Beer tokens provided of course

Have you got the in/out hoses to the turbo/actuator the right way round?

ive tried them both way rounds but no real difference. Am i right in thinking that the correct way round is turbo hose goes to OUT and hose from the actuator goes to IN?

I'm not 100% sure, but I should imagine the IN should be fed by the turbo and out should feed the actuator.

Well thats how they were when i changed them round and it didnt make any difference.

Any other ideas anyone?
