They replace the rubber bush with a spherical bearing so eliminate play giving a sharper steering response, and the adjustment allows you to adjust your castor angle :thumleft:

Are they really that hard to make? Some sphrical bearings, couple of nuts and spacers and some ally hex bar?

Wouldn't mind having a look at a set to measure up cos I reckon I could knock a couple of set out. :-k

I was thinking exactly the same thing- would be very easy to make a set yourself...

great idea guys, would these not be forged though? look at the pics on fensport etc of the teins, they have a slight curvature in the arm.

im up for making some though i think i had a homemade one before on my rev2 n/a it was just one fitted to the passenger side, looked like a peice of thread bar with a bracket and nut on the fwd end :thumleft:

I can't imagine they'd be bent. They stock arms they replace aren't are they?

Tape measure, thats industry standard so should be alright

Are you not exposing something like a rose joint to the elements?
With salt, dirt etc ready to seize them up?

Haven't rev1's or 2's got adjustable tie rods as standard. Find someone who's braking them???

Unless you want some uprated one's of course.
