Bulge in Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Post by Moo »

Had my wheels balanced today and discovered one of my rears is starting to bulge on the inside edge sidewall so going to need a replacement

Pretty annoyed about this as I bought them as a set of 4 from mytires.com when I got my new rims. They've been on the car for about a year and a half but as the car is only a good weather weekend driver they've done less than 4000 miles in that time. The rears still have 6mm of tread on them!

I've been searching about and can't find any in the size I need which is 235/40/17 90Y. I've tried mytyres and blackcircles but they are only showing the Goodyear F1 asymmetrical not the gsd3. Camskill do list this tyre but not in the size I need.

Does anyone know another place where I can get this tyre from in the size I need? Did a lot of searching on Google without any luck.

Cheers

Go with Pro Tyre. If need be replace both rear with Falken GRB 452 been driving with them on both MR 2s turbos for nearly ten year never an issue.(GRB 451/452) Plus daily rear drive Altezza - plus current Brabus. There was a supply of F 1 tyres made in the East. Cheaper discounted plus via E-bay types etc.

Could be non EU compound.(Batch). F 1 - also produced around European countries too. Falken made in Japan that's it. Wonder if this has to do with your wheel wobble? pita. Go to Pro Tyre near you see link. If not set very low 245 40 17" & 245 35 17" work well too.
