Further to Dan's post, has anyone bought one of those tollroad cards so that we don't have to mess around with coin at the tolls? If so, do they fancy writing a guide to the (French) site so that the rest of us can too? :)

I was going to, but seeing as how I've got a passenger this year and I can't decipher the French site at all I think I'll be sticking with coins

thats a great idea for France, I didnt realise you could buy them from the UK?

Yes they can be bought in UK their site is in french but you can get by with an online translator.
It costs 2 euros per month that you use it in, not when its not used. Then the normal toll charges. In uk you will need a credit card for them to verify and take tolls.
Great fun when english are queing and you drive past with them thinking your an idiot, then the barriers pop up and they are then p****d off.

I have just about muddled through it, although I've probably ordered a lifetime subscription or something!!

Does anyone know how it works, is it a lil RFID thing or a barcode we have to stick in the windscreen or something?

Edit: I should learn to use google... http://www.thisfrenchlife.com/thisfrenc ... liber.html

Well I'll let the Spider home this time, as I still need to do a lot of papers to make it available in France ..
But I'll be there with my "winter's backup" : another RHD MR2 bought a few months ago near Bristol ;-)

I have found Rev5 wheels for my Spider, I should get them in the end of this month. But I might search for some others for my Turbo.

Concerning Liber-t system, I have it !
It 's a small box that fits to your windscreen with a double face sticker.
(But you can also hold it in your hand when you come near to the toll-both).
Image
It alows you to go through the toll-both without even opening your window.
It's very practical when you drive a RHD in France, and don't have any passenger. But the funniest thing is when there is a lot of traffic at the toll-both : You can overpass everyone to go to your 'private' line (the lines usually on the left side where you see the big orange T).
Image
The price is the same, and it's directly taken on your bank account.
(you can check all this on the Liber-t system web site with your codes).
In France, you have to pay about 10 euros a year to get this badge, but the prices of the toll-both is the same.

Ok so if the google tranlator has done the job, then I need the 'formula mensuelle' one which is 2 euros a month and I need to fill in and return the 'contract of service' pdf from the website...?

You can apply online using this form:

https://www.sanef.com/fr/ecommerce/part ... Option=FTM

Select "un particulier" (an individual) and then a full form should appear. Tick the box marked "Je reconnais avoir pris connaissance..." (I accept the terms and conditions) and hit "Étape suivante" and you'll then be asked for your card details.

Yeah was bidding on a couple for the lagashe stands but there up over 160 now, and a pair at tetra rouge which were at £60. 1st for tickets.co.uk still have a couple of seats by the ford chicannes before the start finish straight and they reckon they are getting a few more for panorama and dunlop. :D
