MK2 REV 1 steerinq Q from a newbie

hey all, Ive jost gone and brought myself an mr2 mk2 rev 1 in need of some major TLC.

Ive got many Q's to ask but this one in particular is doin my head in.

Does the Rev 1 have power steering or was it an option coz it aint got any at the mo and is almost impossible to turn the wheel at low speeds.

They come with and without as far as I know. It can be heavy when at parking speeds but the feel on the move makes up for it (IMO).

i had a rev 2 n/a without power steering. it was a G import and aparently the model that come with power steeering as an option.

My Rev 1 hasn't got power steering.

I think it was an option on the G-limited's (imports) as a friend had power steering on his rev 1.

My Rev1 doesn't have power steering either.

Yes, can be a pain when trying to park but as mentioned above, the feel when driving MORE than makes up for that, always nice to know what the wheels are doing! lol

Not to mention you get used to it after a while. Rev1's (w/o power steering) are widely regarded on here as the most fun N/A's (pending you upgrade the brakes and suspension lol)

Yes yes yes..... but the Rev1 unassisted rack is too low geared and weights up too much during hard cornering, making the car a lot less fun to drive.

Dynamically, cars with PAS are a lot better.
