Can't help you with the fitting I am afraid mate but would be interested to hear the results.

I always fancied fitting uprated polybushes as I read an article in Evo once where they put some on an old MX5 and apparently it really sharpened the handling up.

I'm sure someone on here can help.

There's a guide over on mr2oc.co.uk (if you're not one of those having trouble getting on that site).
The text in the guide is good, but it's severely lacking in pics.

Can't help with the guide other than the link, but here's the pics I posted asking about the bushes:

(BTW, the 'D' bushes were put on the metal insert the wrong way around - but then you'd see this when you take the old ones off)

PoohBear wrote:A = Rear strut Bar to body

B & C = Front and rear lower arms where they fit to the body (front) subframe (rear)

D = Rear strut bar where it fits into the lower arm.

E = Front strut bar where it fits to the body in a Rev2+ car (Rev1 cars are slightly different.

Would it be advised to replace the bushes if there is play in the front control arms or do i need to replace the whole arm itself?

Do you mean the front strut bar, or lower arms?
