Re: update of my mr2
sorry to be a pain but as I may now have to get a new engine in my car, I just want to ask what rev is my car. Its a 1994 import but I was told it was a rev 3 because of the year but I had somebody tell me it was a rev 2 because of the lights. If it will help I will take some pictures of the engine just to confirm.
Thanks again
Rob

It's a revision 2 car at the latest, which means it was manufactured before October 1993. Visual clues are the non-body coloured rubbing strips, rear spoiler and lights. The lower front lip indicates revision 2+, but is painted body colour so it's probably been retrofitted. The engine is definitely revision 1/2.
If you want to PM me your model code and frame number (found on the identification plate in the frunk) I'll give you the exact month and year of production.

Re: update of my mr2
hi guys just to keep you up to date with whats going on with my car. Just brought a reconditioned engine with garanteed less than 30,000 on it and comes with 6 months warrantly today for £495 delivered and should have my car back on the road by next week. It turned out to the bottom end but it had also damaged the crank so resulted in me having to get a new engine
