[Mk2] [Turbo] Indicator flashing quickly

Post by jadapc »

Hi, My right indicator flashes much quicker than my left indicator which is working normally. I've tried looking to see if any bulbs are out, but doesnt seem like there is. I don't know how to take of the toblerone to check the wiring. Has anybody else experienced this and how to fix it? Its a small problem, but rather annoying. Thanks in advance :D

Your hazzard light button working ok? Its all wired through that. If you take the plug of the switch they don't work. I'd check the wires on that too as mine we're worn through and shorting on the dash metal :thumleft:

Bit of electrical tape sorted it :)

yes, hazard light is working fine. Does anybody know how to take off the toblerones? Is is simply pulling them off, they seem a bit stubborn and i dont want to break anything.

There are bolts behind the toblerones. You'll need to remove or pull back the wheel arch plastic liner.

Were the indicators working correctly at any time?

The only reason I know of for the circuit to flash quickly is a popped bulb or a different wattage bulb in the system or possibly a short. IIRC they should be 21W.

They were working fine before since I got it, then suddenly that one flashed quicker, but I hadnt done anything to the car that I can think of.
