Rare Auto lights

Post by Bry »

Just found out my car has auto sensing lights fitted as an option \:D/ Always wondered what the pod on my dash actually did, I've just realised that when you cover it up my lights come on, so have auto lights on my car

Not a factory fitted option, by the looks of it. The unit looks very aftermarket. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Definately an aftermarket job, i had exactly the same one fitted on a Mitsubishi GTO, and a slightly different one fitted to my last mr2.
I kept mine turned off cos my lights were always popping up every time i went under a bridge, cars in front think your flashing them lol.

defo aftermarket, theres no way toyota(or any car manufacturer) would go, you want auto lights as an option? well we'll just stick this lump of plastic with a sensor in here, then have the wire running down the back of there....

Have you not seen the door led light options? They
have the wire running down the back of there

definitely feasible.

I had that on my car when it was imported, I removed it and then accidentally ran it over heh. More trouble than it's worth IMO, it didn't deal with overcast days well. Left a nasty mark on my dashboard where it was attached though!
