pipes missing but cant see where they should be going.

Post by stevegts »

I recently got my rev 3 tubby fixed after months of trying to diagnose my boost problem, it turned out to be the seals between the fuel fail and the inlet manifold, after getting it back from being repaired i have noticed there seems to be 2 pipes missing but i cant see what they are, the car is slow to boost and is running worse as time goes by, so can anyone tell me what the missing pipes are?

the pipe im talking about can be seen in the middle of each photo, its a hardpipe with a 90 degree bend and the rubber pipes seem to be missing off each side, thanks guys.

Righty, Imagine You're looking at that first pic as a clock. 6 o'clock, you have the wide pipe. This is the feed for the Idle control valve. Will go to the inlet prior the turbo. The 2 shiney pipes at 7+8 o'clock are coolant pipes that run to the throttle body. Everything is connected.
Off the metal pipe work for the idle control valve a feed goe's to the standard boost control/vsv. That also looks connected.

There is something that looks like a metal pipe unconnected, but it's not. It's just part of the bracket. Your problems are elsewhere.

Check diagnostics. Check timing. And what rev is your car?
