Seems we are not alone with our ticket plight. There is loads of people on the JAE forum who have not got tickets yet.

I am thinking ahead here....
If, for any reason, your tickets do not arrive in time.

I propose the following:

* I will take a print out of the final attendance list with me to JAE.
* I will ensure the gate staff have a copy of this list.
* You quote upon arrival that your are with IMOC, your ticket was not delivered on time, and you quote your forum username. This will be on the list.
* Any problems, call me on my mobile number which i will have to post up here in public. 07961 593311

I will have a bundle of hog tokens with me to dish out for anyone that has paid for an advance ticket.

Hopefully it wont come to this but i am afraid the situation is out of my hands.

Cross fingers and pray to the big postie god in the sky tonight......

I'll be around from Thursday with Scott - my number is 07773 429096 in case I get phone reception and he doesn't. One way or another we'll get everyone in who has paid :thumleft:

CWU Urges Royal Mail to Negotiate as Mail Backlog Hits Record High

The Communication Workers Union today (Wednesday) strongly urges Royal Mail to engage in meaningful negotiations to agree changes for the business. The mail backlog is now bigger than at the height of the national strike of 2007 with well over 20 million items backed up in London alone.

CWU also has reports of mail backlogs of a million items in the Bristol area, half a million in Peterborough, a quarter of a million in Leeds and failures and delays in the network across the UK. The situation is significantly disrupting mail with delays of over a week being reported. Despite this, Royal Mail refuses to change its approach to imposing change and refusing to negotiate.

Dave Ward, CWU deputy general secretary, said: "Royal Mail's head in the sand approach to the problems in the mail industry is now severely damaging services for customers with backlogs bigger than in the national strike of 2007.

"Management have been attacking our members through bullying-in unagreed, often unworkable, changes. The dismissive attitude to staff at the same time as cuts to jobs, hours and overtime and a pay-freeze has made Royal Mail a dismal place to work.

"We are successful at bringing in change by agreement. Royal Mail needs the backing of postal workers to make the company successful and make change work. We want them to see sense and negotiate agreements which make change work for the company, staff and customers."

Further strikes are set for the coming week and a national ballot of all 130,000 Royal Mail postal workers will go ahead this month.

Both myself and John will be leaving approx midday today to get to Wickstead.

As a result we will both have limited net access so wont be able to view the forums as much as we would like. I can access through my Blackberry but it is limited.

Please take a not of our mobile numbers and call us of there are any problems.
