I don't think it's worth worrying about the weight at the moment, though. They may have different karts or be able to turn the power up on those ones.

Plus, it's just a bit of fun - unless you're uber competitive then the placings really don't matter. Just get your names down :thumleft:

It does?

Well I know we want to do well and we will, but do we need to go to such lengths? If someone wants to talk to Nathan and swop their place for his, then I have no problem with that.

Update....and some changes...
This event will now take place on the Friday and will only consist of 2 people per team, not 5 as originally planned.

Hi guys and gals,

Due to the number of clubs entered, and time constraints, I have had to reduce the driver numbers to two per team which must include one female and one male, the format is as follows:

1. Drivers will be started side by side on the start/finish line on the track with teh frst driver wearing a buttoned up and oversized JAE shirt, a coin will be flipped to see who has the inside line prior to starting.
2. The first driver will complete a lap and once completed he/she must come into pitlane, stop, then get out of the Go-Kart and head for the designated undessing/dressing area.
3. The first driver must unbutton the JAE shirt in this designated area and give it to the second driver, no slipping it off/on over your heads as there will be a judge/timekeeper for each of the two teams and you will be disqualified if found cheating
4. The other team member then has to then put on the shirt, ensuring it is buttoned up correctly, get into the Go-Kart and commence their lap.
5. After the second driver has completed his/her lap they must return to the pitlane postion where they started.
6. The first driver then gets into the Go-Kart (passenger seat) and they together commence the third and final lap with the winner being the first one crossing the start/finish line on the track.
7. Your times are then written down and after all teams have ran the times are collated and the slowest qualifiers (probably 5 or 6) wont unfortunately go through to the next round.
8. The next sessions will work like this with 5 or 6 teams being dropped until we have two teams going head to head for the win, basically a knockout competition.

So to register on the day, those clubs that have put their names down on the previous thread must go to the Admin Tent from 09.00 on the Friday (closes at 14.00) to confirm your entry and give the names of the drivers entered, you will then be given details of where to go etc.,

Prizes are as follows:
1st Place = Trophy (presented on the Saturday evening in the Pavillion) and 4 tickets to the Time Attack Final at Snetterton on October 11th
2nd Place = 2 tickets to the Time Attack Final at Snetterton on October 11th

This is a great addition to JAE so if you get the chance make your way over to the Go-Kart area (opposite the Hexagon Restaurant) at about 3pm on the Friday to watch the fun and cheer on your club.
