You get as many runs up the quarter as you like Jim.

Its only when/if you make it to the semi/final shootout's that you're racing the other lane.

Handling course you get 5 timed runs IIRC, and then the top few go into a shootout type final this year i believe.

Top speed is held in the left lane on the 1/4, you basically just carry on till the 1km mark :thumleft:

Give it a go, use the car for what it was built for :thumleft:
TOTB 2010 Rwd top speed, 1/4 and shootout winner.

9's on slicks to come, with a clean full throttle pass! Goal of 0-150mph in a 1/4 of a mile....

Entries are now all on line, so you'd need to register with the TOTB website and then click their competitor entry form...and pay of course.

It's actually quite a late 18th July cut off for team entries.
So if we're going to do this we need a team name we'd all register under
(suggest IMOC MR2?) and I think at least 5 definite entries.

So who's up for it?

Im in.

If people could list here if they can definitely do it, then we can make a decision.

I've got a bit of a problem, I've just read the rules and cars have to be taxed and Mot'd. Mine isn't either as I only use it for racing. I don't mind putting a MOT on it but I can't really afford to tax it aswell just for TOTB. Are they likely to be flexible on the Tax or is it definite they have to be?

I'm going to have to pull out then unfortunately people. I should have really read the rules before starting this thread. I don't have the budget left to Tax and MOT the car, I'd have to insure it too so I can tax it.

Ah well, bit of a shame!

Just wondering where all the big power MR2s have gone. Japshow Sunday never saw anyone run better than a mid 12.

If you check on the TOTB forum, apparently this year they are allowing cars to run with just an MOT, without the need for tax or insurance :thumleft:

Unfortunately i wont be competing this year, but will be there watching. So if anyone's there competing, i'l be there to lend a hand :thumleft:

Is anyone confirmed for this, this year then?

Cut off date for entries is 24th July IIRC.

I haven't pursued it tbh, there doesn't seem to be enough cars!

Mine isn't done either (no surprises there!).

So unless there is a concerted demand....
