Turn up, get sound tested, Get the tent/motorhome setup, barbecue out, beers, take a look around some impressive cars and then race the 1/4 mile, standing km and handling circuit in front of a few thousand people

Oh and bring the sun cream as most (not last year) days of TOTB are stupidly hot!

You interested Jim?

Its a good event :thumleft:
TOTB 2010 Rwd top speed, 1/4 and shootout winner.

am curious sure
probably not going to be an ounce competative on any stage compared to you guys, but sounds fun and I have a half decent spec to not be to embarrassing.
I am interested if there's a need to make up the numbers and hopefully do the club proud.

Sort of thing i like, few blats, short circuit (tho I'll prob realise I prob can't drive for xxxx, lol). But straight line I know where to point the wheel. Lol.

I'm getting a new manifold flange welded on as it warped on the dyno. I'm hoping the car will still be in tune with the disappearance of the manifold blow as I really can't justify another tuning session. I need to get some use out of it and would love to enter TOTB, but I might have to just do the Jap Show Final instead. Will have a better idea in a few weeks, but unfortunately I can't confirm either way before then which I understand could be too late.

I put it on the dyno for half hour the other day to run it in. Only prob was a weap from the crank seal, so gearbox off again ](*,)

Should be getting mapped in the next couple of weeks, but im not gonna commit to TOTB until i know it survives the dyno.

Quote from TOTB website,

"Closing date for all entries is 3rd July 2010 (No refunds after this date)"

So not much time to get sorted!

Why didnt you just get the flange surfaced/flatted Ant, rather than welding on a new flange?

Will look at booking us in before the deadline. Will get back to everyone that has registered an interest.

For now, can we start a list of names for those that are in?

Thanks

The flange had already been flattened down once before and the fact it had happened again concerned me. I'm switching to a mild steel flange which should have better resistance to warping.
