Bit of a bump - is anyone struggling to get application forms? Send me a PM if you are, I'd like to collect them all like I did last year if possible.

Then I can send them all togther or deliver them personally to make sure they arrive safely.

Any more people interested in taking part? We have a lot of interest but I want to make sure we keep this up between now and the event, I really want to ensure we have 10 cars and reserves if possible so don't be shy, even if you just want to go on the reserve list for a fun day out :)

Just make sure you have a pair of good trainers and you can run down the 1/4 with an MR2 badge on your back :)

OK, forms are starting to arrive with me now, thanks to those of you who have sent them through already - not that many as yet though so keep them coming. Sending them to me means no cheques will be banked until I forward them to the TOTB organisers at the deadline so you aren't committing 100% until then.

We need to start gathering a definitive list of names so it would be good if we could have another show of hands at this point to confirm where everyone is and make sure we still have the same interest we had earlier in the thread.

I'm trying to find out what the situation is with team members and support crew staying on site again but for anyone wanting to stay locally now is the time to get booking. Would be good to have everyone there first thing so we can try and get through noise testing etc asap.

Bit of accommodation info:

http://www.totb.co.uk/venue/hotels.asp
http://www.totb.co.uk/venue/guest-houses.asp
http://www.totb.co.uk/venue/campsites.asp
http://www.totb.co.uk/venue/self-catering.asp

http://www.smoothhound.co.uk is handy too,
http://www.travelodge.co.uk

Pontefract Ferrybridge isn't the closest but usually has cheap rooms available because nobody really wants to stay there :) Last year it was about £26 for a family room that can apparently sleep 4 - the drive up to Elvington from there is easy and quite fun.

The nearest available Travel Inn outside of York is Castleford I think.

http://www.premiertravelinn.com

Leeds is around 45 minutes away from the venue, you might find it easier to book a room there rather than York.

Also try:

http://www.laterooms.com
http://www.lastminute.com

And check reviews on http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk before you give anyone your money :)

Book asap, rooms fill up quickly as we get closer to the event and York is always busy around then anyway.

Regsarding the noise testing, if we stay on site the nite before, dont they test you then so you can get cracking first thing in the morning?

3 forms and 2 payments now received, as before if anyone still needs my address please send me a message.

Might be good to get a bit of an update from those of you who have expressed an interest so far just to check if you are still planning on taking part or not. I need to make sure we take up all the places and ideally have a few reserves so if anyone hasn't been in touch yet now is the time to make yourself known :)

4 weeks until the deadline and still a bit quiet from some of the people who showed an initial interest.

I'll panic soon and start asking random people to take part, don't lose your place just because you couldn't be ar$ed to get in touch with me.

I don’t know if you were expecting a reply from me or not but my car still isn’t ready either so I’m not going to be competing this year.
I might try to get along as a spectator/mechanic but will sort that out nearer the time…

Would be great to have you there again if you think you might be ready but I realise it will be cutting it a bit fine.

Only 4 entry forms in so far and the deadline isn't far away...
