I've always insured my previous engine modified cars through either Adrian flux, Henderson Taylor or CCI, you can get agreed value quotes as well which were very reasonable.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestions MilesH, I'll try them out. Looking forward to getting on the road whilst there's still some decent weather about.

Thanks Pete, as the car is an original VM180 I am looking for someone who recognises that fact. The body is unique to the 180 and needs to come from Toyota Japan so not easy to replace. Need to get a like for like policy without paying the earth.

give them a try see what they say, they did agreed valuation no worries on my mk indy kit car.
and were not expensive, i think you will struggle to get anyone who has heard of it when you phone an insurance company, more likely to find someone to listen of how "special" it is :thumleft:

Hi,
If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back if you like.

Andrew, I've just googled the VM180. Is it like this?

There were 3 versions commissioned by Toyota. That's one of the other two called the Zagato. Here is a link to the brochure I hope, www.2000gt.net/VM180/VM180TRD_01.jpg

All sorted now anyway through AF 👍
