But then I'm not massively into gaming....

Thats the difference mate. If you're not a big gamer then spending £350-400 on a new console isn't the best idea.

We're not talking NES to 360 comparisons obviously but there is a very clear difference between current gen and next gen when you actually play them.

Let us know what u think.

I personally wasn't that impressed compared to 360. To the point that I repaired and jtagged my spare 360 so I could get back to playing gta v and trials hd lol

I'msure when the game designers get to grips with the power of the one then things will be better.

cheers...downloaded but cant find them now!

Junes update was a biggy.

SKY HD now working through the hdmi in port and also using one guide and voice activation.

1st impressions was very fancy....it recognised all the commands I gave. Then my daughter came in and with the noise it didn't recognise any commands.
Also I prefer the sky guide not the xbox one. And I cant get used to the fact you need the xbox on to watch the tv which is annoying with the bright white light on it so the sky has been unplugged from it for now.
May get a splitter so the sky signal goes staright to tv and to the xbox so the missus can use sky as normal but I can use it while I have the xbox on as well without relocating cables.

Just pin the games to your home screen mate...always there then. Yeah they've had a few updates recently and made some good improvements.

Def getting better. Played both those downloads. Thought halo was rubbish - basically gauntlet / chaos engine. The max game was surprisingly addictive so will be playing more of this!

Like the way my FIFA 14 updated itself and gave me the option of playing the world cup!

BTW - for people who don't leave their box on standby....does yours take ages to come on.
From power up mine takes at least 2 mins! 360 boots in about 5 secs.

Why would you not leave it in standby?! So much quicker.

Yeah thought the same thing mate. Halo is pretty crap. Max is really good, some great little puzzles and looks real nice.

Standby mode itll auto update everytime and power on a lot quicker, voice activated etc.
I dont use this mode much as I prefer to have it completely off when I'm not home. Doesn't take long at all to power on though, about a minute from power on to the home screen. Auto sign in shouldve been there from day one though, glad its there now.

Got myself an Xbox one today, with Forza 5 download, Halo Master Chief collection, and of course, CoD: Advance Warfare.

The XB1 is a cracking piece of kit. Also renewed my gold subscription and got online for some cod action.

Good to be back!

I didn't realise just how much better this is than my old 360!

It's an absolute machine, you can run your sky/cable through it and have it in the top corner while you play, also, download the smartglass app, a very handy wee tool!!

That's it, treating myself to one of these for Christmas.

Do we have a thread on here where we can get each others gamer tags?

I tried the search with no luck

just got one of these, think forza 5 is ace  . What are people doing about the hard drives small size. With the games i like and what the kids like mine is already 70% full lol.

Don't like the way, if you got the game on disc you have to install it and still put the disc in aswell, thats abit annoying to say the least.
But other than that lovin it so fa  r
