Adding gearing for the dry sump oil pump?

Fitting a ring gear over a cam belt idler.

Why? Not sure...

And what is the ring gear from? What do I not need any longer now I have the dry sump?

new oil pump sprocket with bearing inside to stop pump operating
(using original pump gear machined to accept idler bearing presumably)

I have no need for the stock oil pump but I do need the pulley or I would have to get a custom cam belt.
With no oil inside the pump it would not take long before it all seized up.
I can remove the loose part of the pump but the bearings in the front cover are lubricated by the oil in the oil pump.
So I now have an idler pulley with the outer of the oil pump drive fitted over it, this will allow me to use a stock cam belt and the idler will be bolted in the same place as the oil pump drive came through the oil pump front cover.

Thank you but the building is yet to start, all I have are boxes of parts and bits and keep losing them as my son moves things around the workshop.

Must get on with this now, as soon as it get warmer :)

It'll be fine- did the same on my head to fit the cams....well- I didn't personally do it, so yeah...I guess it could be "interesting"

New 5SFE oil pump came today.
I need this to hold the crank sensor, just the casing, the oil pump bit will not be pumping anything.
