No offense but you are dealing with me and that's the way I want to keep it for now.

I can tell you that the company I am using has been around for over 160 years. So they must be doing something right.

LOl. I'm not defending the company for being sooooooooo slow.

I agree about the way this job has been handled by the manufacturer. Nobody in the MR2 community I contacted wanted to produce this part, so I took it upon myself to have it produced. That is why I started the group buy. Unfortunately I don't have a magic crystal ball.

Like I have said before, I am sure the manufacturer will also be able to produce pinion B. O:)

The only reason I asked was so I could have a look at the quality and type of other items they have produced. Who knows the wait could be well worth it.

Some questions and research I now know I should've asked well before now, although the quality question was asked...

Wingers they have produced ten of type A. I really do wish you all had your MR2 parts but I have explained numerous times why they are not ready. I also feel guilty as I started this group buy thinking it would only take around six months to have the parts. I also try and answer everybody's questions. I did not start this group by to mislead or con anybody. All I can ask is for the people who have paid for their parts, is to please be patient.

The machine broke down just before Christmas and they purchased another to replace it. The manufacturer has not forgot about us as I am constantly communicating with them.

They mention a sparker machine quite a lot which they put importance on for the manufacture of the pinion parts.

In your defence - a friend of mine is a mechanical engineer, and I wondered if he'd be interested in making up one of these for me. He laughed, turned around and proceeded to explain how difficult the pinion itself would be to design/develop/machine. It's not an easy part to create by the sounds of it.

I could imagine that if one specialist part goes wrong, they'd have to wait months to get it fixed due to the nature of the beast.

I'm not trying to have a go - it was a genuine question.
After all I'm one of the lucky ones in the first batch :)

A lot of excuses have been offered for the delays until now and I'm not trying to drag that up again so putting broken machines etc. to one side, all I want to know is if they've finished the first 10 then why haven't they sent them yet?
I understand that the balance of parts isn't ready yet, but the first ten were apparently ready to send last Monday so can you give us a definite date that they were/will be posted?

It still all seems a bit open-ended at the moment. That's all I'm getting at.

Im afraid to say this is a hard lesson in the word of low production development. It always takes a very very long time.

To be fair design and production on mass produced parts isn't always quick.

good luck all and im sure it will be worth the wait

Wingers on 25/01/13 I sent you a PayPal payment request for the shipment of your pinion part. I have yet to receive it. I have instructed the manufacturer not release parts until postage is paid. When I receive your payment I will instruct the manufacturer to send you your parts.

Marty,

My pinion turned up today so that's a good sign. \:D/

I've sent you a PM with a question about one aspect of the design, but in general it's looking like we're getting somewhere.

I'm glad to know that you got it. I have replied to your pm. I will be away most of tomorrow so probably won't be answering any questions until late evening.

Thank you for the payment Daniel. I phoned your father last week and he told me to deliver to the work place but I have instructed the manufacturer to send it to your new address.
