Post by wilkie senior »

Hi

I was wondering has anyone used those Tyre Pressure Sensors, such as on Fleab bay & Damazon :-)

Hi mate,

Do you mean the TPMS ones or just the little handheld gauges?

Cheers

Hi There The TMPS ones the Sensors & Valve you replace on your wheels

I suppose the down side is potential damage when having new tyres fitted?

My honest thoughts are they are probably rubbish :-)

I have a set of Xiaomi TPMS, but not fitted yet so cannot give a honest opinion.

My tire guy wasn't blown away when I told him I want them in for my next set.
He was concerned about the longevity of the o-ring which seals on the rim when installed. He said they always fail over time.

Still, I trust Xiaomi and since I have them, I will get them installed.

As for damaging during installation, these (at least my set) comes with a warning sticker set which should be placed beside the valve on the rim.
I wouldn't be concerned about that kind of damage.

I'd say the best thing is to stop by at a tire shop and ask their opinion.

Cheers

I'll be curious about the longevity of this branded Chinese stuff.

I have my Xiaomi TPMS (with internal sensors) installed for nearly a month now, I'm very happy so far.

Originally wanted to place it near the map light area, but might remain here for good.

The tire shop installed it without any hassle at all.

Chinese can make decent stuff if there is a good brand name for it.
