It's a 275x25 disc but most importantly it's already 4x100 so assuming there's no clearance issues it's potentially an off the shelf part which would require no further modification. Part number on Brakesint is "BDS5937" if you fancy having a look to see whether it may be useable.

I had some of these to try (early on in the AW11 kit development) but didn't use them as they have a 55.15mm bore.

Are you able to do a very good price on the calipers/brackets/pads only ?
(for my 280mm discs)

I was just sent an in-car video of a guy lending his E30 BMW (WMS brakes of course plus a 250bhp SR20DET conversion) to a mate for a few laps of Rockingham - I like his "Cor f--k me the brakes are awsome!" reaction at the first corner!

The vid - gets very silly in the later laps:

I'm waiting to get my Mk2 on the road and for the CNC front brackets to be done then give the Mk2 kit some basic testing (and get the brake line perfect) which seems to be taking forever!

The initial setup will use the rear calipers on a 300mm disc with 4-pot/300mm front setup, pretty sure both will have the XP8 available but can't be 100% on that.

For pure race cars I will also have a 300mm rear/4pot kit (already have the brackets) but that will need a line lock / hyd handbrake so won't pass an MOT - good for the MR2 challance and Super GT cars maybe!

Hope that helps, as soon as anything is ready you guys will hear about it straight away! \:D/

Well that's the plan - I'm getting some 16" 200SX wheels for a bit of stealth on mine.

I'll be interested to see what I can get up the 15" OEM ones I've got as well...!

Well the rear just needs me to re-stock the calipers, so about a month-ish. Brackets/discs are in stock!

Front again needs calipers, plus maybe 0.5-1 month for the initial R&D and new-bracket faffing etc.

This is the rear setup I'm talking about, 300x18 disc!

cheers for that. is that 1 month in total ?

What would the price be for a full set then front and rear and how much could you do the carbotech xp8s for?

Are the discs available drilled??????

Is it a costly exersice adding hydraulic handbrake or a case of cutting the line and re bleeding?

Nope - 1.5-2.0 months, maybe. New stuff ETA is always a bit vague, and the Mk2 kit seems to suffer every glitch going! I want it on my own car soon though which should mean it keeps getting pushed along.

swampy wrote:What would the price be for a full set then front and rear and how much could you do the carbotech xp8s for?

See page 1 of this thread for projected prices, and updated real prices once I get the stuff in - the rear kit will be about the same as the front. I can't get a price on Carbotech stuff I'm afraid, I only know they list the correct shape pads...when it comes to it I'll see what they say.

swampy wrote:Are the discs available drilled??????

Noooooo! =; Drilled discs are prone to cracking, we only offer grooved but to be honest they are not needed unless you have a problem with pad glazing or squeal.

If you want bling, the kits are designed to have an upgrade path to rotors and bells, but these will take a lot longer to do.

I've not done it myself so I can't be 100% sure but as far as I know you add it to the line to the rear and it "valves" itself automatically etc.

Better than usual! 8-[

There is a batch of 20 300mm WMS SW20 front kit brackets being machined (finally ordered them last week after a lot of faffing/revision and tweeks), ETA is 3-4 weeks I'm told....

I have one spare pair of calipers for the SW20 and was planning to take them to Italy and the Nurburgring on my Mk2 (whichever one I end up taking) but I don't have time now as I leave on the 18th Aug! #-o

I had a batch of calipers arrive today that's nearly sold out before I even got it, so I'll be placing a re-stock order almost straight away (once I get this lot sorted and shipped to customers).... :thumleft:

The kits all have calipers/brackets+inserts/bolts/discs.

sjm1984 wrote:are they 4 pot?

Yes.

sjm1984 wrote:minimum size wheel?

16" as they are 300mm, you might find the odd daft motorsport 15" will take that size but very very rarely.

Very nearly! I want to get a set on my car when they arrive to see how the 300x18mm disc behaves, a good kicking round Brands Hatch should give me a good idea.

The 300x28mm disc is a bit more mainstream in terms of spec (but heavier) and will be up for grabs as soon as I've test-fitted the first kits on the car (stationary is fine) to make sure the brake line design is perfect.

If the brackets are ready early I can get a set on my car for the 18/08 (my birthday!!!)
