ahh ok, i figured most people went crank trigger wheel and placed one of those racerx caps on the dizzy mount. :thumleft:

I have a cap on mine but it's still functioning under the cap. Although sending signal to the ECU now rather than HT leads.

Well got an hour on the car today and noticed my boot floor was wet. Pulled out the liner and went to work on finding the leak. Ran a hose over the car until I saw drips. Ended up being one of the spoiler holes. So I got to work removing the plastic spoiler (all 3 parts)

As you can see, I don't think it's ever been off the car.

Image
After a clean up its looking good again.

Image
I use some silicone to seal around the spoiler mount holes which looks to have sealed well.

Need to find a day to tidy up the megasquirt wiring. Need to find some of that soft stuff people wrap their looms in.

I'm still not 100% I'd like to. I've done some engine work before and have all the tools/dial gauges etc. So it's very tempting. I'm sleeping on if until my pistons/rods get ordered/arrive.

It's an 86.5 bore now yes. Cheers dude. It's never ending :thumleft:

Not a massive update but I saw a set of wheels I've wanted since I owned an mr2 come up for sale. So I drove the 2 hours each way to Bristol and back and got them installed yesterday.

im not massive on tyre stretch but i think this looks ok. genuine enkei rpf01's. my old alloys (copy's of copy's) weighed an absolute ton compared.

love how it looks. just need to get the front a touch lower now. :thumleft:

Been meaning to look at my vague steering for a while. So poly steering rack bushes and installed them today. Old ones felt soft but I don't they looked too bad.

One more thing off the list. Went to test drive but my battery had died (another thing I've got to track down draining battery). However it was too low for my battery charger to kick in. So I've got some jump leads coming and hoping to jump off one of my other cars and get some charge In it. Then whack it on the charger overnight.

Well. Long time since I updated the thread. Sold my house and waiting to buy a new place (with a massive garage). So the mr2 is at a relative's on their drive.

Decided to go the chargecooler route after selling my side mount. Test fitted and I'm just waiting on clamps and a day to mount the radiator (bumper off looks a right pain)

Pretty happy with how it looks

Hopefully get it insured and taxed soon and take her out. Still building parts up for my forged build. :thumleft:

Friday took is a little longer than expected. I went to my friend Ian's Friday in the 2 and it took a good few hours I get the bumper off. Bolts sheared/got stuck behind the indicators and also every single bolt snapped along the top except the middle as it's a different set up.

Ran out of time so need to put the front end back together fully. And then it's just mounting the pump and running the hose/electrical wiring.
