Kind words guys :thumleft:

Phil that's just a super resin polish, however I'm not taking all the credit as David kept it immaculate and garaged while it was his. :eye:

Car looks great mate. Fair play for a 20 hour shift getting it ready and running.

Unsure if that's sarcasm :-k
Some of the 60ft times I've seen have been under 2.0, not sure what I should be aiming for with a set up this laggy (obviously better tyres would help the launch although I'd also say inexperience didn't help either :eye:

anything under 2.0 is decent and you sure know about it on road tyres!
You basically need to be in boost off the line. Not bogging and then picking up speed.

On a big turbo setup, everything needs to work as one, revs, clutch slip, suspension and tyres/grip to bring it down closer to the 1.9s roughly to get you in the 11s...This wont be easy.

Some of the big power cars with the right setup, ie doing wheelies are getting 60ft times of 1.3-1.5!!! crazy.
This is why those have broken into the 10s/9s!

Best ive done on 17s and road tyre is a 1.81, but average 1.9-2.0. I launch at like 6k+!

Launched a few times around 4K rpm (not got launch control set up yet) :-s
It's definitely the tyres foremost, at 4K I'm not even on boost yet so I don't think it should be spinning up with the right tyres/treads, saying that.. crail isn't a world beater surface either.

I didn't think 1.5 would be possible on a 2
Next time I'm at the strip (if not in 2 weeks with new tyres), I'm hoping I'll have a new turbo set up with a lot of upgrades to get a better combination and aim for more power! :eye:

Here's a video going down the strip on my instagram, this was the shootout and my final run of the day, really bad launch and in 2nd you will see the car moving to the left where I nearly lost it

So it looks like there is a leak around the manifold/!vband clamping area which is making the engine bay look cool but very dangerous, for that reason the car is now back off the road as I won't have time to sort it or even use the car soon. Got a video of the action but a picture will do

I believe so :eye:

Initially thought it was the screamer pipe flames being pulled in but having caught it on camera they were too big and then I've managed to find soot from the area where the blow shall be found

Better to find it now, before it makes friends with something in the engine bay! :pale:

Well that's the Mr2 wrapped up for the foreseeable future as I take my flight out overseas today. Won't be back anytime soon as it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time but other things always kept me grounded, adios amigos
