The weak points of the 3vz are definitely the pistons and the headgaskets. But i found solutions for both things. Pistons could be custom made by wiseco. I got a set for the 3vz and the 5vz! The main issue why the headgaskets of the 3vz/5vu blew is headlift due to too thin stock headbolts. I got a set of arp headbolts (which is for sale) and also a set of aro l19 headstuds! The last thing is for the 5vz built. I also found out, that you could normally swap the 3vz headgasket to a smaller bore 5vz headgasket which cometic gaskets make. The rest of the engines aren´t that bad. The rods are absolutely massive and the crank of the 3vz could handle way more than the 5vz! They are differnt and i will wap the 3vz crank into the 5vz! :D There is so much potential with these engines....got a lot of ideas in my mind and there are already a lot of ideas in 3d on my pc! ;-)

what do you think about my equal length manifolds i designed for the next evolution step? :)

I am definitely going to make turbokits for all Toyota V6 engines....first of all the 3vz and 5vz

It's a nice linear power delivery. Much more controllable than the massive spike you get with a smaller engine and big turbo.

Hey guys

I am currently developing the new car setup for my timeattack car. Research on aerodynamics is 90% finished.

All big parts for the 3vz/5vz hybrid are also here. The biggest problem were the heads. But this is also solved right now. So a new fully forged 3,4ltr with fully built heads cams is going into my mr2. :-)

I am also going to modify the e153 gearbox with e53 camry gearbox parts.
Original/Hybrid Camry Final
Final: 4,285/3,625
1ter: 3,23/3,23
2ter: 1,913/1,913
3ter: 1,258/1,333
4ter: 0,918/1,028
5ter: 0,731/0,82

Speed in km/h at 7500Upm with 620mm tyre diameter
1ter: 63/75
2ter: 107/126
3ter: 163/181
4ter: 223/235
5ter: 280/295

Just a small update for you guys. It is going forward... slowly...

Hi Iecku very interested in following your aero test results as they progress, I do like the rear wing supports that bolt direct to chassis. Did you have them made?
